QR codes provide a quick, convenient way to access project information in Asite Field without navigating multiple screens.
Users can scan QR codes for:
Site Locations: Opens the associated location for quick access.
Forms: Opens location enabled or site task forms.
Files: Displays the metadata, custom attributes and version details (latest or superseded) of a PDF File.
File and Form Filters: Opens the saved filter for files or forms.
NOTE: For information on creating QR codes, see the following articles:
How Do I Scan a QR Code?
Log in to Asite Field.
NOTE: If a user is already logged in, the Home Page opens by default and displays the last selected Project.
TIP: Project selection can be changed at any time. To learn more, check How to Select a Project.
From the Home Page, tap the QR Code scanner (bottom-left).

NOTE: QR codes can be scanned using the Field app scanner or the device scanner. If multiple supported apps are available on the device for the scanned QR code, a system prompt is displayed asking users to select the app to open it with.
If prompted, grant permission for Asite Field to access the device camera.

NOTE: If you have already granted camera permission, the scanner will open directly.
If required, open the device settings and enable camera access for Asite Field.

NOTE: An ACL (Access Control List) check may run in the backend after you scan a QR code using Field.
Return to Asite Field.
Scan the QR code using the device camera and the related file, form, filter or location enabled resource will open.
NOTE: Access to the selected file or form depends on the configured user permissions.
